Kam has been inspired by dance since she started taking classes at the age of 3 in her Michigan hometown. She loved constantly learning, growing, and challenging herself, which led to training competitively in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Pom. In high school, she led her high school’s Varsity Dance Team as Captain to medal at UDA Nationals in Pom and Jazz. Kam found her joy for dance was sparked again when she started teaching at a local studio during her time at Michigan State University studying Journalism. She loves that like writing, dance tells a story, and she wants to help inspire the next generation of dancers to fall in love with the art of dancing. The bonds she built with her students over those 4 years was one of the most special parts of college, and ignited a love for teaching, choreographing, and connecting with students of all ages. Kam believes that dance builds confidence far beyond performing, and what you learn in dance class truly stays with you forever!
